247 North Avenue | 28 FLOORS

Snooped around and found new information regarding a project at 247 North Avenue. 28 stories, 244 units, 240 parking spaces… interesting. Only thought to look into this because they were measuring with those tripods in the area. Perhaps we will hear about this at next week’s PB meeting.

nice scoop! I get excited every time you post something here. The 2020s are going to be quite the decade of change in New Rochelle.

Glad you appreciate the updates. Westchester is slept on when it comes to development, we may not have a lot of amazingly tall skyscrapers but the density is rising!

Also, there seems to be another development popping up, looks like a fairly large project at 525 Main Street (+ five other parcels) including around 350 units. It will be at next week’s planning board meeting so I will post all the information after that.

here’s the latest

The developer has assembled five lots to create a 22,000-square-foot parcel for the project. The building would contain 351 residential units, of which 10% would be deemed affordable. There would also be 6,000 square feet of retail space and a 274-spot parking garage.

The city’s review process has begun including an informal presentation to the planning board. The developer’s environmental assessment form is under review by the city.

According to attorney Anthony Gioffre III of the White Plains-based law firm Cuddy & Feder, the building would have 31 studios, 268 one-bedroom units, 46 two-bedroom units and six three-bedroom units.

The developer is expected the make a full presentation to the New Rochelle Planning Board at its Jan. 28 meeting.

On 247 North:

The proposed building would contain 244 apartments – 28 studios, 144 one-bedroom and 72 two-bedroom units. There would be four levels of parking; two below grade and two above grade on the second and third floors. Ground-level retail space would front on North Avenue.

statewide halt on luxury residential and office construction. Some projects in NewRo may be exempt because of their affordable components, but more clarity is needed on that.
