the 1000ft “Supertower” plan, for which FAA approval was sought and granted:
a two towered plan reported by Next Miami in February of 2017, which also appears on the official project website. This seems like the most recent plan:
couldn’t find a height figure for 3 MiamiCentral other than its floor count, so I went with Emporis’ estimation. The FAA has approved a height of up to 991’ if they decided to build that high for the next phase.
I hope the mixed use tower ends up as a supertall. My understanding of the program is 1 massive residential tower and a second mixed use tower with over 100k SF of Hotel and Offices respectively.
and 1.25M SF of parking spaces (>3000 spaces)… jeez Miami.
it would make sense if Miami were some commuter suburb but it should be a destination. Parking is fine for luxury residential towers, but for TODs like this it should be discouraged.
