Mcarts notes of developments and etc

Columbus circle sounds great for that supertall

Get rid of the residential FAR cap, and I can almost guarantee a Megatall on 57th street. (Jk idk all the regulations around it. But still taller, thicker towers in general)

A lot of your proposals are more stale proposals or canceled.

New York with Shenzhen’s proposed supertalls. New York is really falling behind.

No. One of them is stale/or canceled. There are a few on hold like 80 South (technically not on hold, but it’s changing hands right now and it’s basically a perfect site,so it’ll be around the same height or higher.) and 2 WTC, 45 Broad etc.
And even if they were, that doesn’t change anything. Until there is more news on the site they’ll stay where they are.
Also yeah, Shenzens going crazy.

As far as I know, 80 South Street is canceled. Tower Fifth and 350 Park are long term visions right now. There hasn’t been any news in a long time for those projects. 155 E 60th is canceled to my knowledge.

Broad Street is very much on hold. The Downtown market has been slow since 2018-2019. I’m not seeing that change much in the foreseeable future.

And Site K 418 11th Avenue was shelved for that site. Maybe the architects will build it somewhere else.

80 South Street from Oceanwide is canceled. But the project site itself is an as of right development. As soon as another developer acquires the site it’s basically guaranteed to be built, at or near the height in the list. I think it’s fine to leave as a long term proposal.

Yes Tower Fifth and 350 are long term projects. I believe you’re correct that 155 is canceled.

418 11th Avenue is still very much happening. The only thing they’re waiting for is the RFP to be reissued, they have the financing and the design ready to go and the developers (and architects) have repeatedly said they don’t plan to give up on the site.
The Governor may add an “affordable housing” requirement just to appease supporters but it shouldn’t have that much of an effect on the site.

I would have two more concepts with over 1500 feet besides the Sky High Towers.

So I’m thinking in my head about a tower right.
Uhh I kinda want it to have the same profile as the oblisco vision, so think of that massing.

And either put it on Columbus Circle

Here or there maybe

Or put it near 432 Park down Park Avenue.

I would love for it to have that beautiful diamond crown off of 117 Goldin Finance. I’m thinking black glass, with black stone at the base? With gold accents over the building?
Maybe a Pharanic style?

And obviously a megatall.

That would be really cool to see!

NYC Redlight District/Entertainment District :
Legal (regulated) prostitution (with the love hotels that brings)
Casinos
24 hour bars and Restaurants
Clubs
Movie Theaters
Broadway Theaters
PAC’s
Esports Arenas
Laser Tag
Planetariums
The Large Sphere similar to the one going up in Vegas but bigger

Extend the highline like in the Pier proposal so it run directly through this district (if we assume it to be places above HY)
A very large building preferably, with an amazing observation deck near the top. Those thing are some of the best entertainment options this city has.
Etc. I’ll put in more entertainment options when I think of them.

Also all casino (and buildings in general) will not be the ugly, boring “Vegas Style”.
Think the 78 design

And the Grand Lisboa

Also if we assume this is on the West Side, above HY I would also like a new massive Cruise Terminal.

Similar to this, but bigger and better obviously. Also either it be neutral to companies, or have several for different companies…

Manhattan’s Magnificant Bases, per DeShelby I love how so many of NYC’s new towers have spectacular, heroic bases. Can’t wait to see them in person.

And let’s not forget the original Manhattan stilts tower…

Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, cold plunge pool, whirlpool spa, sauna and steam rooms, a bowling alley, golf simulator, lounges, co-working space, and a chef’s kitchen and kid’s club. Other amenities include a fitness center, yoga room, spin cycle suit, full-sized indoor basketball court, rock climbing wall, and a squash court.

This excerpt from 6sqft’s One JSQ article.

I need to make a list of amenities I’d like to see in my developments
