A restored train line would be cool but I guess a bike path is better than nothing.

I don’t have a picture, but biking past today I saw that foundation work is underway for 829 Garfield Ave, which is a 110-unit building:

Ahh, so that’s what that was. I noticed the active construction site as well while I was on the light rail back to West Side Ave. I really hope they re-think that green lol

Glad this one is under construction - this seemed like a pipe dream for a while, but the continued design updates made it seem like it was still alive. Guess it was.

NJTransit is looking for proposals to build on one if its lots near Liberty State Park station. At two acres, it’s zoned for 8 stories and 500 to 800 apartments.

Interesting. There was once a hotel proposed for there, although I’m not sure how serious the proposal was (I think NJTransit pointed out they hadn’t been consulted). Looks like that’s dead at this point
