This one was issued permits today. Saw some excavators on site yesterday. Will be under construction very soon.

Yup! Excited to finally start seeing this one rise! I’d give it a few weeks before full footings and foundation construction to start - still getting the site logistics together.
With 32 Oakland, the Justice Complex, 413 Summit, and a slate of other buildings all rising in the same vicinity, it’s exciting times for Journal Square.

Journal Square is the area of the city where construction has slowed down the least post-COVID. Downtown construction fell off a cliff in comparison.

True about downtown, although it seems to be picking up a bit again - 144 First and Provost Square Phase 3 both in active piling/construction, and a few midrises in the Village area are either started or about to.

Today was the topping out ceremony. This tower went up really quickly! Kudos to the whole team at KBE. The views from the top are amazing!

Wow they went from pouring the foundation to topping out in just 3 months? KBE doesn’t play around lol.

It really does look off seeing a couple of two story buildings in between a couple of towers.
