Wow, the base is surprisingly very beautiful. It fits right in with the rest of Liberty Harbor here. Similar to 333 Grand St. Not a fan of the glass above … but let’s see what the finished product will be.

I read in the city’s Planning Board action agendas that this was approved approved by the Planning Board.

Note that the information on site has this project as “225 Grove Street”. Is it possible to update the title of this project? @apophenic @Mackensen @YIMBY ?

It’s still listed in the official records as 257 Grand St.

Looks like the permit referenced on the on-site sign lists the "Main Address " as 225 Grove and 257 Grand as an alternate address - https://jerseycitynj-energovpub.tylerhost.net/apps/selfservice#/permit/4c022d9a-209a-4be6-93b1-89eb51b8bb10?tab=locations

? I see two grand st addresses listed, not that it’s a big deal

Sorry my bad!

It’s all good! Just wondered if maybe you were seeing it somewhere else on the page.

Thanks for posting here, really appreciate the updates. And sorry for the nitpicking!

Does anyone know when this construction is expected to be completed? The noise has been quite disruptive, and I am considering leasing an apartment at 235 Grand.

The nosiest part of construction, pile driving, lasts about a month. The rest of it you are unlikely to hear above the general noise of the city. You’d also be hard pressed to find a development in JC that doesn’t have some form of audible construction nearby.

This won’t be finished until sometime 2026. The major noise will be relatively short in comparison to overall construction.

I’ll also add that in JC no construction is allowed on weekends or after 5-6ish PM during the week.
