Burj Azizi Height: A Comparison
Since Burj Khalifa is keeping its status as the tallest building worldwide, Burj Azizi will not be taller than 828 metres. That said, its height must exceed 679 metres, which is the height of Malaysia’s Merdeka 118, the world’s second-tallest building today.
To keep the comparison within Dubai, Burj Azizi must be taller than the second-tallest and third-tallest towers in the Emirate, located in Dubai Marina. These towers are Marina 101 and Princess Tower, with their heights reaching 425 metres and 413 metres, respectively.
Burj Azizi must also be taller than the Franck Muller Aeternitas tower, which is currently under construction and will be completed in 2027. This tower is intended to become the tallest residential clock tower in the world, as it will stand at a 450-metre height in Dubai Marina as well.

So piling is now officially awarded to the same company that was shoring and excavating the plot earlier this year. I wonder if they will be utilising and fortifying the piling done for the previous proposal or this is going to be brand new foundation piles.

Azizi awards piling contract for Dubai skyscraper project
UAE-based Azizi Developments has signed an agreement with International Foundation Group, a specialist in deep foundation and ground solutions, to provide piling, shoring, excavation, and dewatering works for its key Dubai skyscraper project - Burj Azizi.
Located at a prime plot of land on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, it is poised to become the second tallest tower in the world once completed, said the Emirati developer in a statement.
It will feature a vertical shopping mall, luxury residences and opulent penthouses, a 7-star hotel, a one-of-its-kind observation deck, and numerous high-end F&B options, among other unique and breath-taking features and amenities.
Burj Azizi is scheduled for completion within 4 years, stated the developer.

How is the soil procurement in Dubai in general?
How deep do you have to drill in Dubai to ensure that the building stands securely (no subsidence)? How many concrete pillars will actually be under the base plate later?
