They ended up not opening the Aventura station after all. Oh well.

What an embarrassment. They should be ashamed of themselves, but it has become patently clear that they are incapable of feeling shame.

I’m assuming/hoping it would connect with the Vegas elevated train (?) -

It won’t. The Las Vegas stop will be south of the airport, whereas the Monorail doesn’t go south of Tropicana Avenue, which forms the northern edge of the airport.

The California terminus will be very close to the Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink station, which has direct service to Los Angeles Union Station. I am not sure if that connection will be walkable or if folks will have to take a short Uber/Lyft ride.

The Rancho Cucamonga station will also have a connection to “Hyperloop”, the vaporware shuttle to Ontario Airport.

Do people still think Hyperloop is real? Musk personally admitted it was a red herring to stall American transit projects (particularly California HSR) so he could sell more cars.
