The Trump branded Dulles Airport renovation is likely dead. United posted renderings of a major renovation and hinted at opening one of their largest lounges yet when Concourse E’s renovations are complete.

Here is what United announced:

An all-new Washington Dulles International Airport is on the way.

Here’s what’s coming to 5 million square feet of new or renovated space:

:airplane: Modernized concourses, including replacing the C/D Concourse, with more gates so we can fly more (and bigger!) planes to more destinations around the :globe_showing_americas:
:sparkles: Plans for one of the largest Polaris lounges in the world, more United Club space and expansive new seating areas at the additional gates
:luggage: Improved baggage handling systems to help you get your bags faster
:office_building: Cutting-edge check-in areas, more efficient security screening and improvements to make your international arrival experience better
:suspension_railway: New AeroTrain connections to make it easier to move between the terminal, concourses and gates

And later this year, the all-new Concourse E with 14 new United gates and one of our largest United Club locations ever is opening.

I can’t say I’m disappointed in the renderings, though I wish there was a little less architectural competition with the Saarinen main terminal and continued to let that be the dominant architectural theme.

That said, there is exactly zero chance that this fascist pig doesn’t try to re-memorialize this airport in his honor. 100% guaranteed he’ll try to order it, even in posthumous legal language. He cannot help himself. Just look at the abomination of the Kennedy Center. That is what sociopathic narcissists do.
