The New York Metropolitan Skyline Photo Collection

Not very long ago, there really wasn’t a skyline on the east side of the east river.

Amazing how expansive the LIC and Brooklyn skyline has become on that side of the river. Especially when looking south from LIC area like this shot. It’s cool to ride up the East River ferry to check it all out, even though it is obnoxiously slow-going.

I would love for both BK and LIC to get more defining towers so they have recognizable skylines of their own!

took this because it’s still astonishing living in new york when there was just the esb and a plateau basically, now all this! please excuse the electrical tower in the foreground… gives a sense of a 2k footer might look like haha.

1997 vs. 2018. Favorite show. Manhattan only shows twice in the intro but even that is enough to see the changes that took place over 20 years.
