New York’s skyline is so crazy transformed from the first time I visited in 1999.

But will the skyline transformation continue with the next mayor? I haven’t heard anything from the current candidates about their preference for taller buildings. Will we see New York’s first mega tall soon? I have no idea.

Only if it’s between 1969 and 1999.99 feet. It doesn’t matter if it’s building height or building-plus-spire total height, the limit in the USA is 2000 feet.

I’m aware of that. A mega tall is still a mega tall.

This is from the New Jersey Turnpike on Google Street View.

Wow! Such an amazing angle. Does anyone have an updated picture?

Wow. Somebody needs to go “break down” there with a telephoto lens.

I didn’t follow the mayor race carefully since there were so many candidates, but now that Eric Adams is in the lead, I have looked into it…

This is a post from YIMBY in 2014 when Eric Adams spoke about high-rise construction in Brooklyn. Build, Baby, Build: A Conversation With Brooklyn B.P. Eric Adams

Is this still relevant for his views today? If so, then this is good news!

Coming from someone that has posted some wicked photos over the years, that means a lot
