Why were they cancelled?
The russian developer failed to comply with multiple agreements made to finalize the purchase of all units on the site. Also missed a few payments and didnt present his financing
The last agreement between him and the managing parties at La Defense was made in the start of 2021 and required him to sign initial deals to buy all the property on site until Dec 31st of that year, and then in the start of 2022 they killed the project as he didn’t do it.
Since last year, they’re working with some smaller developers and financiers to modernize the existing old buildings and are planning a new program to revive the abandoned site.
