They’re still using at least one of them. One side (I think the side going to JC/NYC) still has the old platform in use, and the other side has pieces of the old platform, but it’s closed off. Part of the station looks nice, and the other half looks like garbage. It’s absolutely half-assed like everything the PA does here.
Last time I checked, the excuse for the slowness in EWR was “covid/supply issues,” yet LGA was still full steam ahead at the same time. Like I said, they have an excuse for everything.
