I like the globe and the jack for that matter, but the fists on the jack freak me out
The World Trade Center now has another artist’s globe sculpture. Very fitting I believe

We finally have a (permanent) replacement for the Koons sculpture that left 7 WTC several years ago. The artist had two paintings hanging in the original 7 WTC according to the article.

Found some photos from the earthcam I saved back in 2010. Thought I’d share - it was an exciting time lol.
Night shot was taken in August and the day shot was taken in September.
Night shot was the installation of the last of the giant beams that currently holds up the roof above the PATH terminal.
The day shot was the day the first trees were planted.
The site has come far since then even if there’s a bit more to go before it’s complete

What the hell…
RIP, just because they’re in debt.
Just so everyone is aware, this isn’t the main museum at the memorial site. This is a smaller museum a few blocks to the south. From the article, “The museum, with a staff of 10 and more than 300 volunteer docents, had an unusual mission. While the nearby, better-known National September 11 Memorial Museum honors those lost in the most-lethal terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, the Tribute Museum was designed to serve the survivor community.”
