Agreed, 23 gates is kinda low for such a big/expensive terminal. Hope they get started soon, this is long overdue.
The B1M is releasing a 30 minute documentary Wednesday this week at 7am Eastern. They didn’t mention what it was about, but the post was released with photo of the NYC skyline and they recently had a webinar about infrastructure in NYC, so it’s going to be about infrastructure in NYC.

New York had quite a day with covid yesterday. Fortunately the disparity between City and State looks a lot different from early 2020, with the city only accounting for less than half of confirmed cases. Probably omicron creeping in.
Why are people acting as if this is March 2020 over again? Things are very different now.

Hopefully things will calm down once its more obvious that omicron is milder. Massive waves of yuppies are getting this thing and freaking out but they are going to be fine. The R rate on this thing is so huge that its going to blow through the city and burn out quick. Since so many people are vaxxed it shouldn’t be a huge crisis
The report I just read out of Denmark is very concerning. This is a country with a very high vaccination rate. They are several weeks if not a month ahead of us in Omicron infections and has a much better handle on testing. The infection rate there is doubling every 2 days and infections are rampant among the vaccinated who have not had the booster. Hospitalizations are way up. What is most interesting is the large infection rates among those in their 20s. Scary stuff.
I read the same on Washington Post. We here in the US haven’t seen the full effect of this variant yet, but it’s coming.
