NEW YORK | The Spiral (66 Hudson Blvd) | 1,040 FT | 66 FLOORS

<<A “k” for close>> is something that would require explanation. Is that an idiom from a cartoon?

No. It’s just my inane way of saying it was a good try but it failed.

The nighttime lighting on this tower will forever be terrible.

@chrisalv
Is that blue LED lighting I see?

Great photo, Tom.

Everyone has different perspectives, but I think this tower is beautiful.

I’m gonna have to agree with you Rob!

I also like this building, especially in person. Also, look how 450 11th Ave is progressing!! :rofl: :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

The last picture in your post shows one of the lights on the spiral lit in purple. If the lighting on the “terraces” can change colour, that would be amazing and possibly redeem the lighting scheme. I cropped it and pasted the oddity below for emphasis.

It’s also visible on the earthcam too.

K as in strikeout? Maybe better conveyed by equating this to the Mets

Hoist almost down, sheds gone on 34th, and the plants/trees are coming in nicely. Looks great

I admire that they stuck to the rendering and stuck the trees up there.

While that triggers my OCD, I also love seeing missing cladding that has not been placed on a nearly finished skyscraper. I got plenty of shots of that with buildings here in Philly and NYC

(You can still see plywood in place of missing panels on the gables)

2017 was the best year for construction. New York’s greatest crane porn on display lol
