It’s cool but I’d like it a lot more if it spiraled into a point. It’s over 1,000 ft tall and yet it somehow looks stumpy.
Yeah, I think earlier in this thread there was debate about it needing another tier to look better to express the spiral form. I think that is the case in reality as well.
I don’t know, with how boxy the design is I think it looks better with a flat top. I haven’t stood right in front of this beast yet, but from the photos it looks gigantic. I can’t wait to see it and everything else again
Maybe it will appear differently to me when the terraces are lit and the greenery is in place – I hope! – but as of now this comes off as a glass box with a minor visual flourish as meager compensation.
I Prefer 50 HY. Of course, it’s basically a box as well, but at least it presents a more pleasant surface to the eye – my eye, at least – than another expanse of blue glass.

I think the facades that actually “spiral” are ok but the west side along 11th with window color changes in a partial spiral pattern and flat wall is ugly. The building turns its bad side to what eventually will be a major Manhattan avenue.
