Some say 1mw is boring but man that is one good looking building and the darker glass really sets it apart from the other towers, 2mw is gonna be a great addition.

I agree. And what’s more, Two Manhattan West will help obscure The Eugene. For that reason alone, I’m looking forward to it immensely!

I think both Manhattan West towers would be appreciated more in some other, less glassy, part of town.

thats a little aggressive. there is actually about 20% more steel in this building than 1 vanderbilt.

I’m surprised its only 20% more steel than 1 Vandy. The Spiral will have more than 50% more floor area (1.7-1.8M vs 2.9M) although obviously not as tall. Both have similar shapes, floors getting slightly smaller as they rise from the base. Does the steel inside Vandy’s core play into that difference?

But the fact that it’s another blue glass box will kind of just make it blend in with the complex. Sad times.
