Being a smoker, Iâd collapse. But would love to do it!
I donât smoke and I kinda have to be able to do it, so it sounds like it would be fun. Though I definitely wouldnât get near the time
"to include a town hall meeting space for up to 400 people, a basketball court, a lounge, food and bar service, and an additional lounge with two golf simulators.
The new amenities will be located on a lower-level concourse with vaulted ceilings and are expected to debut in 2023."

âExisting amenities at the building include a 15,000-square-foot fitness center and a private conference center. There are also seven in-building dining options, plus a new 23,000-square-foot Starbucks Reserve scheduled to open this year.â
âBeyond tenant amenities, ownership has completed a series of facility upgrades and retrofits to improve the buildingâs energy performance and decrease its carbon emissions. A combination of energy-efficient heating, cooling, and lighting upgrades have chopped the buildingâs total emission by 54 percent, so far.â
See, even the Empire State Building was greatly empty when it openedâŚlike many buildings these days. I never saw that being a problem honestly, someone will flock to own the space
Great footage of the ESB in the Dronalistâs new video ( New York City Baby! - YouTube) - but does anyone know what the lit-up space is above the 86th floor observation deck? Looks like an abandoned 87th floor event space?

Nice catch @Cloudscraper , thatâs one of the few times Iâve ever seen that room lit. Unfortunately I do not remember the use of the now defunct room, but have seen images of the interior, which just resembles a dilapidated/abandoned space. That portion was added on in the late 1950s a few years after the antenna we see today was built.
They should just renovate it and use it as event space, though it would be a little small. Or just an exclusive viewing area, at a premium obviously. The place would be sold out all the time.
Yeah, it would be fairly small to be converted into anything that isnât particularly private in nature or exclusive. At the moment, you can ponder through it/ see inside on the All access VIP tour of the building for $500 and see the other non-public areas of the building as well.
On this day, in 1929 former NY governor Al Smith would announce plans to construct âThe Empire State Buildingâ, to be the tallest in the world.
