Today. The bronze exterior glistens in the sunshine.

I’d love to be a resident of this building for those amazing amenities and ridiculous views! And unlike 57th Street this is actually achievable if a little pricy still.

God this thing is amazing

Not a very glamourous angle -

Can’t wait to see the facade finished

That’s my conveyance there in the foreground - my other yacht is temporarily parked in Turkish waters. Only the flotsam and jetsam are compelled to view 9 DeKalb from this angle.

This building looks so good when seen from Whole Pay Check.
Wonder when they’ll restart on the crown.

I don’t think there will be a “restart”. The cladding seems to be placed on the pinnacle points to prepare for the cladding rising under to connect

Every part of this building is amazing.

There are a boat load of architects and developers who could take a lesson or ten from SHoP and JDS.

I wonder why more buildings don’t use different colored glass? It looks amazing on this building.
And would add a lot of variety to regular blue
glass buildings.

Like imagine a giant red glass supertall on the skyline.

Lol what? What is this?

That was a charming ‘feel good’ article regarding the professional aspirations of these young high school students who dream of some day becoming Architects.

I enjoyed the optimism of that New Yorker piece: but a dose of reality may be in order.

I am concerned about the high rate of unemployment amongst licensed architects and the lack of new positions available for new graduates. The Architecture profession may not be facing complete extinction; but is definitely facing both underemployment and under-utilization of architectural services.

Brooklyn Tower is Architecture with a Capital “A” - and the shoP folks are truly Rock Star Architects. I do hope one of these high school kids get to be a super star too… :star_struck:
