Looks like it’s time to take more regular lunch breaks around here. It’s funny I’m actually grabbing lunch at DeKalb Market tomorrow with a coworker.
2nd large concrete pour in just a few days. I love the activity of it all. 2020 off to a good start! (knock on wood!)

WOW! It stands out more than I thought. Thanks man!
I just realized 80 Flatbush would block 1WTC from this angle unfortunately.
When I was looking around the area to see what buildings will be in front of 9 DeKalb, I noticed you’ll see 9 DeKalb straight down Flatbush Ave like the Transamerican Pyramid straight down Columbus Ave
Thanks for the site photos: I was looking into that same scene yesterday. This photo is a new building only about one block away: what is the deal with that blue film on glass/metal - it looks like it does not peel of easily. Sorry, but I have a perverse curiosity about the issues with that blue plastic film. OK, back OT - we are seeing the first above ground phase of the next iconic tower, this will be a great thread to follow.
Looks like it’s already peeling off.
It’s the same facade fabricator as the CPT – Extell always hires this company that uses that blue crap. It’s really a huge mistake.
EDIT: Permasteelisa makes the facades and is the one using this trash film.
What we see is what remains stuck to the surface ‘after’ the crew attempted to manually peel the film away: it will now require a second attempt to somehow ‘scrape’ the remaining sections that are sticking too hard. Something with the adhesive formula seems to be adhering permanently: a minor issue that a little elbow grease will fix. I just can’t help but notice: as I often apply window film as part of my work. Sorry, for taking things off topic for 9 Dekalb Ave - I dont know the name of that building or would have posted on that thread.
