The red section in the rendering doesn’t match the construction pics. I wonder if that is because is directly over the MTA Dekalb entrance
I imagine they’ll rebuild that subway entrance and incorporate it into the building.
Yes, that’s what it looks like; the edges of the concrete slabs seem unfinished, like they are waiting to be extended all the way to the lot line.
The Dekalb station needs a complete makeover.
I’m lamenting the loss of the sharp profile of 9 DeKalb (from the top of Flatbush) as this tower rises. Of course you knew it would disappear but I thought it would take longer than a year before it did so.
Yes, so much going up at once, we only have a few months to appreciate some views, before they are gone.
Exactly. No matter how they try, nobody can replicate Steichen’s version of the Flatiron.
@Alemel Tenants are gonna have no sunlight at all on those floors. That would be a dealbreaker for me. You can actually see the shadow lol.
heheh, from my experience being in these streets early morning , I would say that this pic was taking very early, and also the winter light factor…
Look at the bright side, if they leave the windows open, they might be able to smell Juniors Cheesecake.
Facade is going up, and it looks really good. They are not skipping a beat with this one:
Final look
Wow the facade looks amazing. Worthy neighbor to Brooklyn Tower.
