Now they’re installing the wall panels on the very top mechanical floors, and they’re not what I was expecting. I thought they were going to be the same perforated screen as the other mechanical floors, but apparently they’re some kind of translucent panels with a design printed on them. (Perhaps silkscreened glass?)
I see zero consistency with the rest of the building. I think this makes the building look even more chaotic. I don’t understand.

This tower I feel isn’t photogenic. In person, under the right lighting conditions and angle, looks somewhat okay from the ground, but for some reason, its not camera friendly.

This building is heinous and taking forever to complete.
The construction elevator is coming down. If you look closely at the photo, you can see them lowering sections of elevator truss on top of one of the elevators.

This thing is just Hideous. Thank God it’s not on the water and can eventually be obscured by other, taller buildings.

The cheapness of the pyramid parapets will not sink in - they just look so awful and chintzy. This building would look 10x better if 1) they just went with a flat top and removed the parapets altogether or 2) they clad the parapets to make them look like integral parts of the building structure… Instead it looks oversized popsicle stick projects fixed to the roof with scotch tape. That said, nice pictures rbrome - I’m sorry the hideousness of this building ruined your good shots.

I agree completely. The building would be much better sans parapets.
I’m also bothered by the weird patterned glass at the top, instead of sheets of dark gray perforated material like the rest of the mechanical areas. I suppose it’s intended to add visual weight below the parapets, but it doesn’t work for me… at all. It should match; adding yet another texture in just that one spot looks ridiculous.
And of course I’m appalled by the painted concrete “back” of the building. That should seriously be illegal. If you’re going to make a thin building with that kind of floorpan, at least have the decency to give the back a real facade with decorative glass like 220 Central Park S. Ugh.
