When this mess clears up as a general note, if you’ve never taken the HBLR from Hoboken to the north terminal, it’s worth it as an excursion. Quite a bit of it travels on the water line and you get a good look at upper Manhattan. Very inexpensive.

I still get surprised when skyscrapers pop up in unexpected vistas like the one in JC’s photo. I remember staying in an elevated apartment uptown and being able to see Brooklyn Point between a few highrises.
