No room or good foundation built for it. Plus all sites are occupied with footprints of all of the planned towers

My statement was that they should have planned from the beginning to build this site as a twin tower.

This would be kind of like Kim K wearing Marilyn’s dress. Creepy.

Why is the Construction Cam link offline?

Still can’t believe they haven’t lighten this thing up yet.

Considering the building is still under construction, aside from testing the internal lights a few times at night, I don’t find it that surprising at all. Lighting is almost always tested near/closer to completion and sometimes even after completion, the lighting on this building in particular is important to its presence at night though so it will eventually become a priority.

Base cladding panels have been installed on about 60% of the vertical southern face. A lot of the construction equipment and trailers have also been moved around/reconfigured on the eastern side, possibly to begin prep work for the base cladding on that façade.

After a period of the only 2 available working cameras going offline, they’ve gone live again. Although the roof isn’t visible, other views from recent imagery and videos show that almost or all of the roof tiling work is completed.

There’s been a lot of work done to and around the base. I recall from an image that cladding prep work began on the small setback of the podium on the northside of the building. Almost all the black cladding was installed on the southside with portions beginning to be installed on the sloped face of the entrance. Work on the entrance and underside ceiling also began about a month or so ago.

Hardscape work has progressed rapidly on the west side to join up with One WTC’s east plaza and bollard installation has progressed on the east side. It will be very nice once the construction fences are removed/the project is complete as it will remove the bottleneck like congestion along Fulton Street between it and the memorial.

They’re wondering ‘where’s the beef?’ -

Can’t believe this thing hasn’t been lit up yet. I guess they are just waiting until the whole thing is done to turn on the lights. I bet they are already installed and working.

The lights were tested a few months ago on a large section on several of the faces, why would they completely light the building permanently when it isn’t completed?

I’m talking about testing the lighting on the entire building. I think they are just waiting until the big reveal.

It’s possible that they’ve already tested the full building lighting but it was just never captured as they didn’t want pictures out/ was tested in the early hours of the morning/late hours of the night.

Oop, great update! Looks like the whole west face of the base has been completely clad in the black cladding (besides the little tail building).
