I’ve been thinking how they could reclad MSG to make it look good, stylish, approachable, or maybe even beautiful… but I’m coming up dry!
If MSG is gonna be surrounded by a plaza network and pretty new buildings and activated public space, can’t have the current eyesore be the centerpiece.
That’s the whole point. MSG is the placeholder for the centerpiece of the area, maybe of the whole city.

Why are these meetings confidential? The only reason we even have this info is because Reinvent Albany filed a freedom of information request. The Dolans (who already own the rangers, knicks, radio city music hall, beacon theater etc.) are continuing to hold the most valuable transit hub in the western hemisphere hostage.

Now if they kept MSG intact but enclosed the whole thing is a cool glass + LED sphere it would at least look 21st century 
MSG looks horrible.
The City should let the Dolans’ tax break expire and then tax the sh.it out of them. We can use that $ to fund transit improvements that the Dolans inhibit.

I second this motion! Tax the Dolans! If anything needs removing, it’s MSG! Not a church or the old service building.
This is great news. They should close multiple lanes of traffic on 7th and add tree-lined sidewalks too.

Is the Penn Station Topic the same as Empire Station Complex Topic?
I assume the Empire Station Complex Topic (which should be renamed now) is more referring to the towers around Penn than Penn, but I don´t really see a reason to make a distinction. They´re all part of the same complex.
My question was only because I read a lot of comments on SSP on the Empire Station Complex.
As far as I can tell the Empire Station Complex is the same as the Penn one on there, I didn’t find one specifically for Penn.
