Or they could just allow another tower to be built and pay for it themselves…

The PABT project got federal approval. Some work is planned to begin next year such as the decking over Dyer Avenue.

Can Trump kill this?

If it’s government related, he’ll privatize it (in general… not specifically this project). If Biden had anything to do with it, he’ll get his billionaire lackeys to kill it. It’s all about him and his type making a profit regardless of how it does or doesn’t benefit the people.

Biden?

If I’m not mistaken, the only thing in Federal hands is the funding. If they can deliver it in total before Trump takes office, I’m not sure there’s much he can do. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s just my uneducated impression.

It was a general statement about him, not about this project.

Anyway, enough about that. Back to the glorious Port Authority bus terminal.

There is a link to the Final Environmental Impact Statement as well, which includes additional PABT related graphics such as these:

Hmmm… that looks different and not nearly as grand as the previous renderings of the main entrance, I hope the old one is still in play

Great news, esp taking shape before the new admin comes in

The loan and the capital planning allocation should get the interim terminal built. the balance to get to 10 billion would be for demolition of the existing terminal and the new permanent terminal.

we are talking 10 years at least to get to program completion.

this is like a mini WTC in scope, im not sure everyone appreciates how complicated and expensive this will be.
