Hmm. Appears so! The ones originally up there were telescopic as well but they were attached to a larger system overall. This may be it or they may have more to do. It is weird how thin they are though. Regardless this is much needed and very much welcome! Time to finish this up, put them into use and get those windows back in on floor 90.
Well look at what we have here…a better view of the most likely new BMU!

Gorgeous! The details are so crisp, even the cables hanging…
it’s definitely the rig… can’t wait to see this thing in action
Same here! This is way overdue! Hopefully by next spring we have a completely clean 1 WTC!
I can’t wait. It’s the thing that stands out so much when looking at pics of the building. Especially ones with tourists in them. Very embarrassing that they come all this way and have to look at a building (that is supposed to be the crown jewel of the site) with streaks running down its sides.
So true!
In person it’s not even that noticeable but the Instagram photos are freaking gruesome
This is absolutely fantastic… can’t wait to see these in full action
If this deal goes through that would put 1 WTC close to 90% leased. It currently stands about 76% leased.
I hope they take the space, those construction lights in the middle of the tower have got to go.
I assume that the entrance next to the PAC would go to them if they sign the lease.
I concur! The East Entrance will be accessible to all tenants from my understanding. There are escalators from the balcony level of the West Concourse that take you right up to the East entrance that all the tower employees use. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
Oh, I heard somewhere that entrance was most likely to be used for another anchor tenant. Either way it will be nice to see that in use.
Will this help push potential tenants towards 2WTC down the road? Would they consider multiple companies renting space to get 2 started or is getting the single anchor tenant the only way to get it off the ground?
From my understand it could be one large anchor tenant or several smaller ones. I believe the stipulation is to have something like close to 1 million sq ft of the tower leased to secure funding? Or close to that. It’s just easier to secure one large anchor tenant of that size versus looking for a bunch.
I think 400k-600k sqft of leasing was the number being thrown around for the minimum to restart construction. I imagine it would be extremely time consuming to piecemeal that amount of space from smaller companies and no company would want to sign a letter of intent without a guarantee that the tower would be fully financed.
