NEW YORK | One Vanderbilt | 1,401 FT | 67 FLOORS

This skyscraper will certainly be added to my list of favorites in NYC!
Empire State Building is included. ^^

I think Vanderbilt took cues from the ESB. The architects per say. It has a strikingly similar feel on the skyline. Especially in that night time rendering. Its as the developers want this to be the 21st Century ESB.

I kinda wish the outside walls were closer to a 90 degree angle (still angled) and used 1 or 2 small set backs to offset the difference. just seems to symmetrical in this render. I still love it, but that would make it better.

I’m John Boehner, and I endorse that message!

After that building comes down, are they able to start digging the foundation? Or are there more buildings to demolish?

There are multiple buildings under that netying. Two small ones in the back are already down.

Can you imagine this already spectacular site in a few years with 1 Vandy, Verre, Steinway, Nordstrom, et al.?

Yes I can! In fact, we all can!
The future of the NYC skyline will be stunning, spectacular and beautiful! ^^

I agree, Dragon. This is the Age of Ramses!

NYC already exceeds every other skyline, maybe not in height like Dubai and complete density like in Hong Kong. However, it more than makes up in breadth, history and variety!!

I think that Manhattan is denser than Central in HK.

Hmm. I’m not sure. Depending on the angles Hong Kong looks exceedingly dense. Not that Manhattan isn’t dense by any means. Is there a way to measure this?

You want a render Rob?

Great work. I think CPT will appear even taller than the roof of 432 since it’s 150 feet higher.

Also, 1 Vanderbilt is impressive in that it completely takes your eyes off of the ESB. Midtown will be forever changed once this tower is complete.
