This is an okay building in an iconic location. The thing is, an iconic location deserves an iconic building, not a merely okay one.

Something that made an effort to reference the bridge would have been nice. For instance, something like Richard Rogers’ unbuilt Silvercup Studios complex in LIC would have fit well here. The bracing on Rogers’ buildings nicely echoes the Queensboro Bridge next door.
