This is an excellent use of that land. Right now, most of it (if not all) is surface parking. It’s always good to see parking lots replaced with revenue-generating housing, retail and development. There’s also excellent transit connectivity with two bus stops and the Coney Island subway stop within walking distance of the development.
Coney Island should look like South Beach. Bring in the fake palm trees too
Come on, these buildings are pretty bland: the nabe needs a more “maritime” aesthetic, with white/blue colors, balconies, wavy facades and so on…
Coney Island should look like mini Miami with its great views, multiple subway lines, and good location, yet its getting east new york/south bronx affordable housing quality buildings
Out of all of those things, “multiple subway lines” is ths only thing that Coney Island has an advantage over Miami with. I agree that there should be Miami-esque towers with balconies and great waterfront views. Jersey City even has some towers that’d go great here.
