Why do you include the empire station with the original heights?

My model compared to yours.

Whyyy. lol. Not gonna lie I’ve been pretty much ignoring the news for that project until something more concrete is announced.

What project are we talking about here?

The big Empire Station placeholders surrounding Madison Square Garden. Not including Pen15

Yeah those are just placeholders. No heights, no sqft, nothing right now and there won’t be for a while. The only one with substantial info is Penn 15.

Has anyone on this page seen the new Batman movie? They altered the Lower Manhattan skyline a bit, and they added a tall spire to 60 Wall Street and a higher roof to 3 World Trade Center. Personally, I think downtown looks amazing with more height.

The proposal to extend Lower Manhattan:

This is your best video yet. Just a fantastic idea. I agree with the economic argument— that the real estate alone would pay for the project! I wish more people could see that…

^^ I gave you a like but I have no idea why.

  1. I wonder how much it would cost to get a professional rendering of the future skyline. The ones with quality you get from the actual developers.

  2. I can’t wait for 80 South Street to be built, just so it can dominate 1 WTC

Oh, that would be really awesome to see!

Lol yeah. But eventually we we won’t have to look renderings, we’ll experience the real thing.

80 South Street is just a proposal. I don’t have high hopes for it right now. Even if it goes forward, expect a heigh reduction because that is the fate of almost every proposal.

Except there is zero reason for a height reduction. It’s an as of right development, nobody can force it to be smaller. Not the community, not the city council, nobody.

Now whether it gets built at all is another thing, but I have faith

Indeed. Before we know it, we’ll already be in the year 2028

People freak out in New York if a supertall is under construction. What about a megatall? Shanghai obliterates New York City.
