Yimby says this is the updated rendering…but it is not showing on the construction fence.

That looks amazing

Per the zoning diagram, it does seem to be the newest design, DOB doesn’t always update diagrams/renders on the construction fences, and infact I’d even go as far to say it’s rare that they do. Lol

I dont think the height has changed but man the new render really makes the building look wider than before.

Chinatown, looking out from the Manhattan Bridge. Does anybody have any idea which project it is?

That is 59 Henry St, nice little mixed-use project. But for the mech penthouse, it looks to be topped out.

Surprisingly nice brickwork on the corner of Washington and Bergen.

Looking like it is waving to me! Very subtle, but powerful craftsmanship!

I couldn’t find a topic about this one. The old façade is gone, I’m not sure if they are adding new floors.

Shame. It wasn’t an extraordinary facade, but it had some interesting deco-ish details, and was a rare prewar survivor in the area.

Has there been an update on this?

550 West 27th Street

This is whats happening at 125 Barclay, it seems only 1 new floor is being built ontop and a small portion of the 10th floor being demolished with that little wedge removed.

@Water_House as far as google streetview shows, there’s been no construction.

And in exchange we are getting this 60’s inspired dull box:

LOL, you beat me by half a second!

Lol I just saw this as well! I don’t think it will look too bad though, the render appears to show the exterior vertical bronze (or whatever they are) elements to change shape.

I agree. The new facade will look nice.

I used to live across the street from here. This building was decrepit and not special. 140 West Street (i.e., the old Verizon Building) just south of it, by contrast, is magnificent.
