They are behind the renovation of 9-19 Ninth Ave, one block from this one.

They did a great job there. I’ve always wanted to see the missing cornice on the west side of the building get replaced/

The recent increase in projects with geometric like facades is an interesting but welcomed thing. It is especially nice when they are on corners like this one.

This one looks interesting. Let’s hope the façade delivers.

Looks like corrugated metal at first glance, though it probably isn’t (hopefully), but there’s way too much going on with the massing though for such a small building.

I hope is not corrugated metal…

Corner of 2nd Ave and 39th St. The corner building was demolished some time ago but now the adjacent ones have been covered with green plywood. Could this be an assemblage about to be redeveloped?

Have you checked the DOB and ACRIS? I’m out at the moment and can’t check now. I hope that this junk is coming down though.

Just got posted from YIMBY! My senses were right. Hallelujah.

The most weird looking Brooklyn block ever. Via @tectonicphoto on TW.

A good argument for the need for an aesthetic design committee to have veto power over rogue designs in a neighborhood.

If they kept repeating the same building design with different but similar colors, it could
work.
