The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) revealed an overhauled version of Robert De Niro’s Wildflower Studios film campus in Astoria, Queens, back in July of 2021, and today the project received a building permit from the Department of Buildings, meaning construction is officially on. The 775,042-square-foot building, which will hold New York City’s first purpose-built soundstage, is expected to open late next year.

Those taxpayers are going to get equity in the Bills franchise now right? Its insane that billionaires are asking for the government to pay for their projects.
I would have to agree. Studies even show that new stadiums are not an economic benefit to the community. That being said, hopefully it brings in new development to the largely suburban area.

Give it maybe another 20-30 stories or so, and it would stand out. Very cool location, though. Wedged in between the ramp and neighboring building like that.
