NEW YORK | Lenox Hill Hospital Expansion | 516 FT + 490 FT | 30 + 41 FLOORS

one patient per room is about controlling infection. its a standard design in hospitals these days.

I havent built/seen built a hospital building that was designed for multiple patients per room in over 10 years

How many insurance plans cover that?

thats an awfully loaded question.

however, with all of the new york city/ area hospitals building single patient room buildings, it is going to be what it is.

Healthcare that hardly anyone can afford.

Yeesh.

But what does this mean in practice? Is it just a symbolic vote?

The public review process is roughly seven months long. The community board vote is purely advisory — meaning the decision is ultimately up to elected city officials — but it is nonetheless influential and sends a message to their representatives of what the public wants.
