There will always be many, if not most, buildings that are just basic/boring architectural design; in terms of aesthetics this design is ‘good enough’ in my opinion.
My question is how can that low rise building next door be permitted to create that ugly mess on the roof in plain site from the street. That hideous looking cluster of cell phone transmitters is bad enough; but it also detracts from that little gem of classic architecture upon which those contraptions are mounted.
I drove by this tower today. It is even worse looking than the picture. Pure chaos.
Yeah downtown Chongqing isn’t that bad looking but speaking for myself I’m not exactly jumping at the thought of moving there. This is the reality for most citizens there:
Fairly bleak is too mild a term for this scene. That ‘Chongqing’ place is literally a dystopian nightmare: and that is not even being dramatic. I had no idea about this ‘Chongqing’ place - thanks for the eye opener.
The good thing about 540 Fulton St: it is the perfect foil for the gem that is Brooklyn Tower.
They continue to work on fixing the façade. For the first time, they are finally starting to (re)install the 3D bits that will give the façade some texture.
