Yeah I definitely learned why it was called Sunset Park a few weeks ago. Gorgeous views of Downtown Brooklyn, Manhattan and Jersey.

Any clue what they are doing to the concrete wall? These darker patches look weird. Generally speaking, this building is heinously ugly…

Oh nooo! Are they covering the concrete with stucco?! I mean I hate big, blank concrete walls, but stucco is even worse. And that much stucco will be a maintenance nightmare over the years. Why?!

It’s so bizarre. Layer after layer applied but no clear top, finished layer is surfacing

if they can make it all black like that new panel, that’d be the best option

Now we’re into Act Two of “What the Hell is Going On With That Façade?!” They’ve removed all the concrete-color matte panels that covered the window “mullions” and gave the front façade some texture. It looks kind of old and abandoned now. I assume they plan to fix it, but man…
