NEW YORK | Hudson Yards Rezoned District | 43M SF

It may not operate the same in the sense of what goes on but its zoned commercial because its still a tenant leasing a large portion or all of a building, so it is the same in how it operates as a general business.

True true. Still this second phase should be bangin and bring in a ton of money, and by extension tax revenue.

I think that will really only happen if they are awarded the gaming license.

But in general, there’s so many other sites that havent started being developed in the overall district because the developers who owned/own the various other lots were in all sorts of nonsense and ofcourse because of the markets. That and theres still a number of owners/businesses who are holding out on their small little sites.

If the 2nd phase tower developments adjacent to 451 10th Ave, 450 11th Ave, and Lyra and even 3 Hudson Blvd started going up, that alone would make the stretch feel so much better.

Why? If they don’t get the license they’ll probably just go back to their old plan. I imagine they’ll be making a ton of money regardless

Huh??

That’s possible, but that doesn’t mean it would just start up all of a sudden. The gaming license is what is driving this “renewed” interest in the develoment of Phase II. Without that Related is just back to square one.

Sorry, I meant that in response to Brad Lander, the worst person in NYC by far.

Maybe. Or maybe they’ll just continue with the resort part without the casino

Ohh okay

Casino or not, phase 2 will be built in time, and it will be magnificent.

If anyone is in the area, can they get a picture of the North side of 50 Hudson Yards? Looks like they are almost done with the hoist.

You can see it in my 11th shot. But no doubt someone does or will get a better shot

I saw that and nice work. Seeing that made me wonder how far they were into filling in the gaps.

The northern-facing side of 50 HY is visible in the reflection of The Spiral although the elevator isn’t super visible. You need to look carefully at the base of The Spiral to see it in the reflection.

Today I’m posting the information about the new RFP for 418 11th Ave. in the official topic. All info was posted on SSP by NYguy, and maybe we’ll get the new suggestions presented in the next few weeks.
