NEW YORK | Hudson Yards Rezoned District | 43M SF

They still plan to have everything they initially promised, which means all of the residential towers will still be there.

Yes, as mcart mentioned, it should look exactly the same in plan (whatever that is supposed to look like vertically no one knows) with how Related has described the plans for the resort.

Wouldn’t that just be 70 Hudson yards?

Seems shorter now though…

Yes it is.

Also Per NYguy: The highest occupied floor is listed at 450 ft. Looks like it could be adjusted for more space with the railyards transfer.

I wonder if this is still the design. I think it’s very nice.

I hope this is the design. It will add much needed “texture” to the area.

Amen. 50 HY sadly did not add nearly the materiality I had hoped, so it’s really just 35 and 55 breaking up the wall of glass.

This has a lot of news about potential locations for apartments and affordable housing projects and some news about projects that haven’t had much updates recently (495 11th Ave). Also some speculative plans to demolish the Bus depot next the north expansion of Javits and building a nearly 2000 unit apartment building (or multiple).

Isn’t that spaghetti network supposed to be covered by the new PA?

Well those ones will be demolished. But generally yes, a portion of the new terminal building will replace them.

This is what I was referring to. It looks like all of that crap will be covered.

do you think that if the state doesn’t select HY for the casino, that the second phase will be more delayed? when do you think it will start? any news ?

@robertwalpole Yeah I know you’re referring to that, but like I said, it’s not being covered, its being demolished and replaced with the new terminal buildings because they are reconstructing the network of roads inside the terminal buildings. :+1:

@sebastianagudel That’s quite a possibility because Related has said various times that the Resort would essentially allow them to spearhead the rest of Phase II. Otherwise there’s absolutely no telling when Phase II would start construction if the resort wasn’t in the pucture anymore. In any instance they still have to have the platform for Phase II approved and that timeline has been pushed back many times.

I’m just glad that it will be gone. It’s hideous.

I wonder when the new PABT will start.
