I’ve mentioned this before–but with all of the development along the East River the city would be smart to study and invest in pedestrian bridges connecting LIC and Greenpoint and LIC and Brooklyn to Manhattan.

How would those work with all the boat traffic along the river? They would have to be quite tall.

Yes, they would have to be high enough for boats to pass under, but in terms of use it would help with commuting options for people who would rather bike, or walk.
