Yes, we need more ‘artful architecture’ in the Greenpoint and LIC waterfront: most is building standard/generic, or slightly better than generic. “Artful” is the best rating possible in my lexicon of Architectural design evaluation; I am really hoping to see this one turn out as nice looking as all the renderings.
Stacked, and cantilevered boxes, all tastefully arranged never fails to please and impress the everyday onlooker: so this one is very promising.

looks like what happened during Sandy. Luckily the danger zone here is mostly blocked off already due to the construction.
