When you enter GCT via the 270 Park Ave entrance, there are around 3 sets of locked steel doors. Looking through the gaps reveals a concourse that is being renovated. The path to the LIRR concourse is open and there is a hallway that takes you to another in-building entrance (I think its the 1 Vanderbilt one) that enables access to the main MNRR and Subway connections.

They had to close down the concourse after running out of buckets to collect water dripping from the ceiling.
