The MTA was able to successfully take out a loan with funds from congestion pricing.

Really not surprising. A lot of the theater seats are filled by tourists and the subway service to the area is excellent. Driving to midtown to see a show has been a major hassle for a very long time.

The Compost reported that Trump plans to starve the NYDOT by denying it funds to make them end Congestion Pricing.
He also vows to get rid of bike lanes (how he’s able to do that, I’m not sure). Go figure.

Yes, and that applies to pretty much everything they rant about.
Yeah so now hes resorting to threatening to starve the state DOT to “convince” them to kill it since clearly any direct attempt to kill it won’t work.

I can get congestion pricing because it sucks IMO but bike lanes? Leave the bike lanes!
Yeah 4 more years. Hell its only been a month. Long long LONG time.
It hasn’t even started in hindsight. 
What’s more important though at this time for the city is housing.

Allegedly Trump now is trying to “negotiate” with Hochul to get her to axe the congestion pricing herself since he’s likely very aware that if he tries any funny business, the courts are going to stop him (he has no legal way to kill it) and it’ll continue to remain in effect so by getting her to do it in exchange for an unspecified amount of federal funds instead, he is hoping she’ll bite.
Also, taxi trips have increased a month into the scheme.
