570 is blocking the zone of impact, but the rainbow actually landed on 38 Prince St.
ha! well in that case, not so goldenâŚ
fools gold
Odds are there is an Irish bar somewhere around there.
lol that too
Obviously thereâs two different levels of quality of windows for the affordable/senior component of the project vs the market rate side- but it would have been nice if the glazing color matched between the two. Almost certainly they are two different window suppliers entirely, and tough to coordinate between the two.
I have heard of the âpoor doorâ - but Poor Window⌠![]()
The view will be the same either way: there will be a lot to see out of those lovely windows - market rate or otherwise. ![]()

This now âtopped outâ condo building is amazing. Designed by COOKFOX Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital, and The Baupost Group.
I am now sufficiently convinced that everything Cookfox touches turns to gold; they truly have the Midas Touch. ![]()
I decided to get the current AI take regarding the âconstruction qualityâ on this project.
My Question to GROK -
There is currently a new condo building under construction at 80 Clarkson Street. What can you tell me about the quality of the construction work being done on this new building?
Excerpt from GROK response -
The project is managed by Suffolk Construction, a reputable general contractor known for handling large-scale, high-end developments in New York City. The involvement of union contractors and carpenters from the New York City District Council of Carpenters is highlighted, suggesting a focus on skilled labor and craftsmanship. A source notes that the project exemplifies âsuperior craftsmanshipâ through the work of these union professionals, which implies a commitment to high-quality construction standards.
Construction progress has been steady, with the concrete superstructure nearing completion as of mid-2025, and the project is on track for a December 2026 completion. The attention to detail in the design, such as biophilic elements, deep-set windows, and landscaped terraces, suggests that the construction prioritizes both functionality and aesthetic refinement.
End Quote.
This has an incredible impact from certain viewing angles. Goes to show that sometimes height is not everything and position or location can go VERY far.
JC_Heights shots as an example above. ![]()
Only one of the towers is topped out, the taller one still has 3 more floors per JCâs latest update.
What is confusing about this thread is the address. 570 Washington St is not the towers but the smaller building for senior living. The towers are 80 Clarkson St and I have now seen two heights for the taller of the two towers, 490 ft and 450 ft. Which is it? The title of this thread needs to be fixed no matter what. 570 Washington is not 400 feet. It is only 17 floors.
The 490â figure is the correct one for 80 Clarkson St, though its not 490â even, itâs alittle more.
570 Washington is 223â tall.
Thank you TKDV.
Whom ever the powers that be needs to correct this thread to 223 FT and 17 floors. A new thread needs to be created for 80 Clarkson Street. Thanks in advance.
I updated the thread title to be the overall development name, which for those that didnât know is Clarkson Square, and all the other relevant information but at this point in the stage of development it doesnât really make sense to create a new thread for 80 Clarkson St anymore.
I thank you as well as my OCD thanks you. lol
