The quality in the Chrysler building is still stunning after all these years. What a great building.

What allows the Empire State Building to have almost full occupancy in the post COVID world despite being only a year newer than the Chrysler Building.

Not sure where the relationship is between when the buildings were built and the period post COVID, because there is no relationship. Whether they were built one day apart or a decade apart isn’t what sets up a building to be vacant or fully occupied.

You can’t compare two completely different buildings regardless of the years or timeframe that they were built in. The ESB is almost 3 times larger than the Chrysler Building, so that alone makes it cater to a completely different group of tenants/clientele because of the size of it’s floor plates.

The ESB has also undergone several major renovations since it was built, while the Chrysler Building has not gone through many.

Whether they were built a year apart isn’t what people care about, it’s about what people are looking for, modern upgrades, large floor plates, etc. Also how the buildings are run (by the owners/developers) is a major factor.
