there won’t be much construction to watch regarding this but I figure that most of us will probably visit this at some point and we should have a place to post pictures.

I wonder why all the proposal shots have that weird scaffolding stuff right under the metal crown. (See the shots on the right in the YIMBY Story posted above)

Doesn’t look rendered or photoshopped to me; I think that scaffolding must have actually been there on the day those photos were taken.

NYC is tops when it comes to many things especially Observation Decks. We currently have the ESB (2 decks/levels that are accessible to the public & 103rd floor which is private), One World Observatory, The Edge at Hudson Yards, The Vessel at Hudson Yards, Top of The Rock & don’t know if this counts but, Belvedere Castle ??
And in the near future, we’ll have: The Chrysler Building, One Vanderbilt, Tower Fifth (proposed)!!
Let me know if I missed any or if I mistakenly included any.
It’s going to make for some really interesting photos of Chrysler’s crown up close.
