You had a nice photo session up there. I do like this angle of the building and now I’m wondering if it would look better rotated 90 degrees clockwise. It would allow all that glass to reflect more of the sun during the colder months of the year and be more visible/appreciated from points south of midtown. Of course it would then have that ugly behind that faces Jersey facing midtown. Ugh I’m trying to like it lol.

Given all the money they presumably saved by having a full glass facade on only one side of the building, would it have killed them to put some effort into the “crown” (using that term very loosely)? I’ve seen self storage buildings with more visual flare.

There’s something very Gehry about this. Maybe they can go full Gehry and finish it off with some chainlink fence or sidewalk scaffolding.
