That’s only if you live in the city.
Could we get back to the original topic 740-750 8th Ave.
Otherwise take the appropriate NY casino topic if it is about this topic or it is just about a theoretical mega resort that can post am here then.
If there is no news about projects, and here in the forum the topics are triggered, please report the posts and do not respond to them unless they are interesting concepts.
unfortunately, i understand this job is going on hold once the foundation is done
Oh wow… I guess because they don’t have financing?
It seems that financing costs are very high right now.
With any luck we may wind up with a redesign.
It’s possible they read my suggestion about merging the lots. Otherwise, it’s strange coincidence that they changed their minds right after I posted that.
i dont think they changed their minds. I think this is financing issues. the design of the building had progressed through the CD phase - so i dont think that redesign was on the table without the money problem
its not uncommon for developers to front the cost of building the foundation while they try to secure financing for the entire structure. skin in the game if you will.
Keep dreaming… that’s definitely not the reason.
Can you ask this topic to stop dreaming at your resort?
There will be reasons why the work is not in progress, or why the foundation work is taking so long. If needed, feel free to use my topic for your personal introduction, as I’ve written to you before.

The roller coaster thing would be cool on Broadway or 7th Ave. 8th Avenue doesn’t seem like the right place for it.
There is no rollercoaster on this building.
but there is a drop ride
Which still isn’t anything like a rollercoaster and the 3 drop rides are encased in a glass envelope so it wouldn’t matter if it was here or a street/block over on Broadway, they aren’t “as” highly visible as a rollercoaster would definitely be (not to mention not even anywhere close as loud) which was mainly my point.
A parachute drop would have been fun!
When you said ‘roller coaster’ I knew you meant the drop ride, or some sort of amusement park ride: I got your point. We tend to play fast-and-loose with these comments; it is a general public forum - so it is all good IMHO.
I recently saw this meme that made me laugh: I do not want to become “that guy”…
