I prefer this where Penn 15 is. That newest design has no elegance and is quite banal.

One way or another, Foster will get a building they designed built.
Your comment reminded me how Foster just got a building approved in Moscow and it looks just like the old two World Trade Center design.

Precisely. If only some effort had been put into creating a crown of some sort. (An illuminated rectangle doesn’t cut it for me.)

Feels like they had an idea for a building, recycled it into this project, and had to improvise a taller version. Like what happened with 437 Madison

That top crown element if done right may be able to compete with those on 1 and 2 Manhattan West. After seeing what 270 Park is capable of (also a Foster tower), this one could end up having pretty cool LED display.

That’s not a Foster + Partners project. The firm left Russia in 2022.
